Can you take Quercetin and Resveratrol together?
Quercetin inhibits the enzyme that rapidly metabolises resveratrol, potentially keeping it active in the body longer. A common longevity stack.

Timing
Together with a fatty meal.
How it works
Quercetin inhibits SULT1A1 (sulfotransferase), reducing the sulfation that rapidly inactivates resveratrol in the body.
Resveratrol is notoriously short-lived due to rapid sulfation and glucuronidation. Both activate SIRT1 and inhibit NF-κB. Human evidence for lifespan effects remains limited, but the combination is biochemically rational.
What to do
Take together with a fat-containing meal. Both are part of the longevity supplement category — promising preclinical data, but human evidence is still catching up.
Frequently asked
Should I separate Quercetin and Resveratrol?
This is an informational interaction. Quercetin and Resveratrol are generally fine to take together. Quercetin may extend resveratrol's short half-life
Why do Quercetin and Resveratrol interact?
Quercetin inhibits SULT1A1 (sulfotransferase), reducing the sulfation that rapidly inactivates resveratrol in the body.
How strong is the evidence for this interaction?
The evidence is moderate. Some studies support this interaction, but more research may be needed.
