Can you take Folate and Vitamin B12 together?
These two work together in methylation and red blood cell production. High folate can mask B12 deficiency, so they are best supplemented as a pair.

Timing
Together, no conflict.
How it works
Both are required cofactors in the methionine synthase reaction, which links the folate and B12 metabolic cycles.
B12 deficiency causes megaloblastic anaemia and neurological damage. High folate can correct the anaemia (masking the deficiency) while neurological deterioration continues silently. This is why B12 status should be confirmed before starting high-dose folate.
What to do
Take them together. Most B-complex supplements combine them for good reason. If supplementing folate alone, check B12 levels first.
